Alexa text to speech limit

Is there a limit as to how many characters Alexa will speak from a Google sheet. I have a few rows which are just text but quite long, when testing the flow, the text is displayed but isn’t read out.

Is there a way around this?

it’s about 8000 characters.

Even though the number of characters is less than 8000 characters, voiceflow won’t speak the text. I’ve seen a ‘long-form’ option on the alexa dev site, how can we make use of it in voiceflow?

The example on the amazon dev site is:

<amazon:domain name=“long-form”>
Meet Echo Dot. Our most popular Echo is now even better.
With a new speaker and design, Echo Dot is a voice-controlled smart speaker with Alexa,
perfect for any room. Just ask for music, news, information, and more.
You can also call almost anyone and control compatible smart home devices with your voice.

<amazon:domain name="long-form"> is just for speaking “style” for long contents. you don’t need to add for actual long contents.

Also, <amazon:domain> is exclusive for Amazon and works on ADC or real Echo devices. seems not working on Voiceflow’s test.

If you create apps for Alexa, you should always test on ADC. Voiceflow’s test uses different ASR/NLU method from Alexa’s.
