Change invocation name for live skill

Hi!

I’d like to change the invocation name for a live Alexa skill. The skill is in testing with a client–they would prefer a change.

I believe the process is to go to the Amazon Alexa Console and remove the skill. Then try to launch it from VF with the new name.

Since there’s an Amazon Skill ID tied to the project, I wasn’t sure if “Remove” would be enough. Do I need to start a new project in VF to disassociate the project from the skill (and if so, what’s the easiest way to clone a VF project)?

Any landmines to avoid? Or other things to consider?

I initiated the Remove. The system prompts for a reason. I selected the option to Change Invocation Name.

The system responds that the skill will be removed within 2 hours. FYI.
