Hosting audio files, what's best?

Hi all,

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I’m fairly new to this and am looking to create an audio skill although I’m struggling to find any advice on the best options for hosting audio files for the skill.

I have previously looked at utilising S3 bucket to add audio but it seems I can’t now do this with a voiceflow generated skill. Does anyone have any advice or good suggestions?

Cheers,

Joss

you can create S3 bucket on your AWS account and use it for Voiceflow’s audio. you need some settings such as making audio files in your S3 bucket to be accessible publically and converting audio file format which Alexa can play. S3 is the most stable solution IMO, but it’s not free and pay-as-you-go.

For free use, I recommend Dropbox. It’s very handy and works perfectly for me. There are some posts in this forum about using Dropbox as audio storage. you should check those. One thing you should remember for Dropbox or other free storage services, there might be rate limitting. (I have never experienced although)

Personally, I have never succeeded Google Drive for it.
